Making a Gift
Boys Hope Girls Hope of Chicago is a not-for-profit 501(c) 3 organization. Program operation costs are funded entirely through gifts and grants from foundations, corporations and individuals and from the proceeds of organization-sponsored events throughout the year. Contributions are tax deductible and all gifts received are acknowledged in writing.

Ways You Can Contribute
Boys Hope Girls Hope accepts all types of gifts, and will help you find the gift that is most effective. The following is a partial list of some of the many ways to contribute to Boys Hope Girls Hope:
  • CASH – Perhaps the most convenient means of making a gift is to write a check. Please make your check payable to Boys Hope Girls Hope of Illinois and mail to: 1100 N. Laramie Avenue, Wilmette, IL 60091.
  • CREDIT CARD - Boys Hope Girls Hope accepts gifts made by Visa, American Express, Discover and MasterCard, when accompanied by an account number, expiration date, amount, mailing address and signature. Credit card gifts can be made via phone or on-line. 
  • UNITED WAY - Do you give to United Way? Designate Boys Hope Girls Hope of Illinois as your United Way charity. Under your "Donor Choice Options," enter our information as follows: BOYS HOPE GIRLS HOPE of Illinois, 1100 North Laramie, Wilmette, IL, 60091.   • STOCK – Gifts of appreciated stock and other securities can provide donors relief from long-term capital gains taxes, and are deductible at the full fair market value on the date they are given.  Below is information regarding how to make donations:

  • ESTATE PLANNING – Boys Hope Girls Hope encourages its friends to consider giving through wills, trusts, and life insurance policies. This is a wonderful way to make a substantial commitment to a worthy cause without impacting current cash needs, as well as a way to assist in lowering or eliminating estate taxes.
  • GIFT-IN-KIND – Boys Hope Girls Hope accepts certain gifts-in-kind that can be used in our program, or sold to generate cash. Some gifts-in-kind examples are: food, linens, cars, estate collections.
  • TARGETED GIFTS – Boys Hope Girls Hope accepts gifts that are targeted to specialized areas of the program. For example, you may direct your gift to scholarships, maintenance, food, clothing, transportation, books and educational supplies, counseling, etc.
