Position Overview

Chief Program Officer

Boys Hope Girls Hope of Northeastern Ohio is currently seeking an experienced, mission-driven, results-focused leader to join our team as Chief Program Officer. Through leadership and management of all aspects of programming, the Chief Program Officer will ensure that each of the 200+ Boys Hope Girls Hope Scholars experience best-in-class opportunities throughout their 10+ year experience.

Lead and Supervise Program Team
  • Leadership and supervision of three full-time Program Directors [Residential, Academy, and Post-Secondary]
  • With Program Directors, hire, develop, and supervise all direct care and program staff(12+ FTE)
Advance Program Vision Across Three Program Pathways
  • Academy–Long-term, year-round out-of-school time program from 6th-12th grade
  • Residential–Year-round boarding program for up to 18 youth
  • Post-Secondary [College & Alternative Track]–Scholarship and coaching for all program graduates
Responsible for Success of Key Program Initiatives
  • Curriculum Design–Oversite of integrated curriculum spanning across all three core program domains
  • Recruitment & Retention–Direct efforts to recruit/retain in-profile youth & high-quality staff team
Administation & Finance
  • Manage annual budget for Northeastern Ohio programs [$800K+]
  • Report on program initiatives and activities to Executive Director and Board of Directors

Experience & Education

  • 10+ years of experience and a proven track record in managing teams for results, and developing individuals; proven management experience supervising 5+ full-time, direct reports strongly preferred
  • Post-graduate degree/certificate in Education, Educational Leadership, Nonprofit Administration, or Curriculum Development is preferred

Critical Criteria

  • Vision and strategic planning skills, including the capability and commitment to move strategic plans from concept to execution
  • Solution-oriented, exceptional client relations and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to collaborate across a range of constituents
  • Ability to track individual and team progress on multiple projects and activities
  • Strength in identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions
  • Background/experience in Out of School Time (OST) Programs preferred, and passion for the mission of Boys Hope Girls Hope
