Persons for Others

Morning Session

an opportunity or inspiration from guest speakers focused on helping scholars find and live their purpose and build a legacy.

Service-Learning in St. Louis

as Scholars begin to explore their personal passions and purpose, it is important to also explore the world around them. In partnership with multiple organizations in the St. Louis area, scholars will have the opportunity to visit a community site with a small group of peers, learn about the cause or community served, and volunteer in support of the organization's mission.

Reflection

after a day of service, scholars will reflect on their experience, share insight and knowledge gained about the cause, organization, or even themselves.

TUESDAY, JUNE 24

Career Exploration

Morning Session

Scholars will reflect on their vision for the future. With help from prominent guest speakers, scholars will begin to explore their passions, potential career paths, and opportunities for growth. They will be challenged to think about the impact they want to have on their community, family, and society and how that can begin to shape their pathway forward.

Networking Night

with a visit to a corporate partner, scholars will be coached by experts in career development on the importance of networking, tips and tricks for professional connections and conversations, and developing confidence both personally and professionally. Then, scholars can put what they learn into practice by participating in a networking social with professionals from dozens of career fields, providing opportunity to learn more about future pathways and explore new career ideas.

Reflection

in small groups, scholars will have the opportunity to debrief their day, share new insight into potential career interests, and reflect on the experience of meeting new people and developing a network.

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 25

College Preparation

Morning Session

Scholars will continue to chart their future by exploring college options and building a plan for success. Senior year is a critical time in the post-secondary planning process, and we want to set our scholars up for success. Multiple sessions led by college admission representatives, team members, and other experts will guide scholars through specific steps of the college process and ensure they are comfortable and confident in what comes next.

Saint Louis University Campus Tour

admissions representatives from our host, Saint Louis University, will provide a campus tour with full admissions presentation.

Hope Ignites College Fair

the college fair is an opportunity for scholars to connect with representatives from over 20 partner schools (colleges and universities with special tuition packages or services for Hope Ignites scholars) to gather information about majors, activities, and scholarships.

Reflection

in small groups, scholars will have an opportunity to recap highlights of the week, personal growth, and goals for the future.

THURSDAY, JUNE 26

Putting it all Together

Morning Session

Οn our final morning, we will challenge scholars to "put it all together." They will be asked to again reflect on their passions and purpose, the impact they hope to have on the world around them, how their purpose translates to a career, and the degree or educational path required to get their. With that idea in mind, scholars will leave Envision U with a clearer path on their journey to college and beyond.

Washington University Campus Tour

admissions representatives from neighboring partner school, Washington University, will provide a campus tour with full admissions presentation.
