Social media has always had a way of connecting us. But what about connecting when we are required to stay apart?
Since the order to Shelter in Place, we’ve seen countless organizations and institutions come together to show love and hope in various ways. We’ve seen teachers unite to give their students neighborhood car parades. We’ve witnessed restaurants who are donating food to the homeless and we’re seeing communities sing together from rooftops and balconies.
Boys Hope Girls Hope started the hashtag #HopeConnectsUs on our social media channels to encourage scholars, collegians and team members to share positive ways of spending their time during shelter in place.Over the course of a few days we started to receive submissions from all over our network, and it made us realize that connection and hope truly do matter more now than ever.
