We are grateful to all who have served at Boys Hope Girls Hope of Kansas City.
After careful consideration and assessment of various factors, Boys Hope Girls Hope no longer has an affiliate in Kansas City as of August 1, 2024. The residential home at the Kansas City affiliate was closed at the end of the 2022-23 school year. Since there is no longer a Boys Hope Girls Hope program operating there, we have agreed with the Kansas City board to end the affiliation.
The residential home has been sold, and the Boys Hope Girls Hope of Kansas City board is prepared to establish a new foundation using the remaining funds from the sale. This foundation will be dedicated to offering scholarship assistance to the young men previously served by the Kansas City affiliate, as well as potentially extending support to others in the community with similar needs.
While this marks the end of an era for Boys Hope Girls Hope of Kansas City, Boys Hope Girls Hope remains steadfast in its commitment to expanding our impact by serving more youth in cities where we have established strong foundations for growth. Currently, we are actively scaling and developing plans for growth across all 14 of our other affiliates.
We are grateful to all who have served at Boys Hope Girls Hope of Kansas City, making a profound impact on empowering young people to reach their full potential. We are also proud of the outstanding alumni whose lives have been positively transformed by this affiliate.
